Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Room photos and measurements you upload or take with the camera, the wall size we measure from them, and the projects, rooms and selections you save.
• Requests to the assistant, typed or spoken. Speech is turned into text by your browser or phone’s own speech service; we receive only the resulting text, never the audio.
• An access cookie that keeps you signed in to the workspace. We use no advertising or analytics cookies of our own.
• Basic server logs (IP address, time, page requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.
• Contact details only if you write to us or submit an artwork through the submission form.

How we use it

• To measure the wall, read the room’s colours and light, suggest artworks and draw them on your photo.
• To answer your assistant requests and keep your projects available to you.
• To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use your photos to advertise.

Service providers

• Hosting: our server is rented from Hetzner Online GmbH; your photos and projects are stored there.
• Image and language analysis: room photos and assistant text may be sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to describe the room and understand the request. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and does not use it to train its models.
• Speech recognition: provided by your browser or operating system (for example Google or Apple) under their own privacy terms.

These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the European Union and the United States.

Partner links and affiliate cookies

Plus shows artworks from VanArtHub and from partner marketplaces such as Saatchi Art. Some “Buy” links are affiliate links, marked “affiliate link”. If you buy through one, VanArtHub may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate links are managed by CJ Affiliate (Conversant LLC). When you click one, CJ and the marketplace may place cookies or use similar technologies on your device to record that the visit came from VanArtHub and to attribute a purchase to us. Those cookies are set by CJ and the marketplace, not by Plus, and are covered by their privacy policies, including CJ’s at cj.com/legal/privacy. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the link will still work, but the purchase may not be credited to us.

Purchases are made on the partner’s site; we never see or store your payment details.

How long we keep it

Room photos, projects and selections stay until you delete them or ask us to. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@vanarthub.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also refuse camera or microphone permission; Plus still works with uploaded photos and typed requests. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

Plus is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

Access to the workspace is protected by an access code, and the server is reachable only through the Plus application. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
